Grayson's story
Grayson is a great little dog who chooses his friends carefully, but once a friend youre a friend for life!
Grayson is living in a foster home and heres what his foster mom told us: Grayson is housetrained in my home and is very smart.  He goes into his crate when I say, in the crate and gets in his cushy bed when I say, go lay down.  He knows do you want a cookie, and will run to his cushy and wait patiently to get his snack.  If he is closer to his crate, sometimes he will go into his crate. If he wants a cookie before hes asked, hell walk up to where the snacks are kept, then walk up to me, then walk back to the snacks. He also understands time to eat and will get in his crate (I put his food bowl in the crate for him

he feels safer eating in his crate).
Grayson gets along with my personal dog and is sweet, but I have to watch his body language.  When I get home, he is real excited and comes up and wants petting. He even gives kisses on my face.  At other times, he will take a few steps back and look at me. That is when I know that hed rather not be petted.  If petting is forced on him, he will growl and lunge.  His adopter will just have to accept that he wants petting and loving on his condition and at his invitation.  Sometimes when I say good boy, Grayson a few times he will come up for petting.  If he growls and acts up, I tell him to go lay down and hell head to his cushy growling the whole way.
Grayson has trust issues, so he needs a dog-savy female (he does not like men), who will be patient with him.   If you adopt Grayson, you will adopt a friend for life!
Since Grayson's estimated birthdate is 3/19/2011, his adoption fee is $275[senior citizens (age 62 and older), military personnel (active, veteran, retired), and first responders (Firefighter, Police, EMT) receive a 15% discount on adoption fees].   If you want to know more about Grayson and to speak to an Adoption Counselor, please complete an application at https://furkids.org/dog-adoptions/application.   Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
( If the dog you're interested in meeting is living in a foster home, the Adoption Counselor will make an appointment for you to meet the dog at the shelter.)
